For all designs the E.P.D.M. membrane shall be
When required, sheet metal cap flashings shall
continuously cover the E.P.D.M. membrane flashing installed at
horizontal to vertical roof junctions. Sheet metal cap flashings
shall be installed as soon as practical to protect the membrane
flashing from damage.
Thermoplastic membrane designs can be
categorized as a fully adhered, mechanically fastened, loose-laid
ballasted, non-penetrating induction fastening and protected
membrane roofing systems.
Built-up bituminous primary membranes
may be comprised of either two (2) plies of modified bituminous
membranes, three (3) or four (4) plies of organic or inorganic felt
adhered with interply applications of hot bitumen.
Primary insulation is the system component that
provides the major portion of the thermal performance of the
roofing system. The location of the primary insulation can vary
depending on the roofing system design type.
